N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Stratford Branch, report as follows: —During the Week we have handled a considerable amount of stock privately, but there appears to be a feeling that sheep are not so keenly sought after as during the past few weeks. 2-tooth wethers 13s 6d, 17s od, 24s and up to 25's for fat and forward; 2-tooth empty ewes, small 13s to 15s; 2 to 6-tooth ewes 21$ 6d.; f.m. ewes, 12s, &; 16s, 18s, 19s 6d and up to 25s for a good line;,2o-month Steers, 695" to 765; weanerheifers, 40s to 43s 6d; mixed weahers small 30s to 355; stbrcs cows, 60s to 80s; dairy cows, 140 s to 160 s; bulls, 20s to 80s; heifers in calf in lines 125 s to 130 s. - The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the* following cablegram f;om their London house under date, 24th June, 1914:—Tallow!—We quote present spot values for the follownig descriptions:—Good mutton 34s 9d per cwt., good beef 32s 9d, mixed 29 s 9d. The market is quie. Wheat. —We have sold an Australian cargo at 36s 6d c.i.f. There is very little demand owing to favorable crop reports. The general outlook is discouraging.

The N.Z.L. and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., remind readers of the sale at their Stratford yards on Tuesday uext of six pedigree Holstein-Friesian heifers imported from Canada. These heifers are selected from stock that have headed the lisforin butter fat producing in that country, and full particulars of the pedigree may be seen at the Company's office, also at the yards on the day of the sale. The heifers will be offered at 1 o'clock sharp. MATTHEWS, CAMLIN'S REPORT. Messrs Matthews, Gamlin and Co. report a fair yarding of stock» in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Bidding Avas not very brisk for most line's yarded, some very good weaner steers failing to reach the owners' reserve. We quote: Springing heifers £4 10s to £5 ss, store cows £3 5s to £3 15s, forward do £1 2s 6d to £4 16s, empty heifers £3 2s to £3 Ks. weaner steers £2 to £2 10s, mixed weaners 30s to 395, f.in. ewes 19s Cid.
