(Received 2.20 p.m.) Ottawa, June 22. The Government has received a long telegram from Mr. H. H. Stevens, member for Vancouver, expressing a fear of a serious riot in the city in the event of the Hindoos aboard the Komogata-maru being allowed to land as a resiilt of an unfavorable finding being given in the Court against the action of the immigration inspector. Mr Stevens fears that the citizens will resist the landing of the Hindoos in such an event, to the extent of bloodshed. He is anxious to get rid of the Hindoos to the extent of having them towed out of the harbor and turned over to Japan's guard at the three miles limit. He asks the Department to give complete backing to the inspector in his reports to get the Hindoos out, in view of the possibility of a long delay, if the matter gets infr the Court. A public meeting win be held at Vancouver on Tuesday, when a proposal will be made to get a .subscription .and charter tugs to tow the Komogata-maru out of the harbor, -m - ■ •■■• *
