MATTHEWS, GAMLIN AMD CO.’S REPORT. 1 Matthews, Gamlin anti Co* report a fa ir yarding of stock in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Prices for aveapers shoaved an improvement on late sales, and business was done with’ most of the stock yarded at the following prices:—Springing and calved Heifers, £5 18s to £7 10s, oow* (spring culvers) £4 to £5 os, forward do. £4 3s to £3 10s, store do £8 8s to £8 17s, forward empty heifers £5, 20-month empty heifers £8 3s to £8 9s, weaner heifers 31s to £2, steers £2 to £2 7s, poor’ and bad colors 23s to 80s Od, f.m. ewes £l. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency doihpaiiy, Limited, have received, the following,cablegram from their London house under date 17th June, 19ll:- ' Tallow.-—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions:— Good mutton 35s per cwt, good beet 335, mixed 30s. • The market has a lower tendency. Wheat.—We have sold'an Australian cargo at 37s 4Jd c.i.f. There is very little demand owing to favorable crop reports, from the Continent. The market is likely to decline.
