THE SPITHEAD COLLISION.

There was a thick fog at Spithead, and it was possible to see only from the yards of the Kaiser Wilhelm 11., which w r as practically at a standstill when she collided with the Incemore. A great hole was made below the water-line, but only one s bulkhead compartment "was flooded. There was no panic. The Incemore's bows were crushed flat. A TIMELY PRECAUTION. (Received 11.55 a.m.) London, June 18. W T hen the Kaiser Wilhelm encountered the fog, the watertight doors were closed, and this precaution saved the vessel. STEAMER RUNS AGROUND. (Received 11.55 a.m.) London, June 18. The NorddeufeW *&oyd learner' Buelow, homeward bound from Japan, went ashore during a fog near Portland. . The"-passengers and crew "are safe.
