NOT QUITE ACCURATE.
[To Thh Editor Stratford Post.] Sir,—Some few days ago a letter appeared in the columns of your paper over the signature of one,, "S. Sharp." In this letter the writer made it appear as if one of the defeated candidates at the recent Municipal election held the important position of foreman of works in one of the largest and most progressive towns in the Dominion (Wanganui). I have waited some time expecting a denial from Mr Moon, but as such is not forthcoming, I wish to here state that Mr Moon was never foreman (of works) in that Borough, but was merely head, er perhaps to be more accurate, foreman of the plumbing department of th» Corporation Gasworks. This, sir, ywa will admit, is a very different position to the one Mr Sharp would have us believe he held, and is no extra qualification for any one seeking municipal honors. Trusting that when next this Mr Sharp rushes into print he will be mono accurate in his statements. Thanking you in anticipation.—l ara, etc., VERITAS.
