The Pacific Cable Board is laying a second cable from Bamfield to Alberni en Vancouver Island, and also a submarine cable from Parkesville to Nainamo. The Board is inviting tenders for th« laying of an underground cable from Parkesville to Alberni, which section is most subjected to interruption.
