The journal Debate, in an apparently inspired article, states; France cannot abandon her deserving nationals in the New Hebrides. Australian opinion prevents the cession to France, and the only way of securing a solution of tlie difficulty is to divide the Archipelago under the two administrations with absolute guarantees to each others’ subjects.
