AN ANTI-ASIATIC BILL.

Mr Stevens, who introduced an Anti-Asiatic Bill, sa’id the objections to Asiatics in Wosteril Canada were not offensive towards foreign countries, but the question was whether the line was to be drawn against the admission of Asiatics or whether they would open the country to a Hood of unassimilable elements. Mr Stevens quoted Lord Curzon as saying that the common rights of British citizenship cannot override the rights of the Overseas Dominions to protect themselves. Premier Borden promised consideration of the Bill, but pointed out that the end of the session was near and it was unlikely facilities would bo given for its passage.
