20 Fishermen Drowned.
WRECK OF 40 SCHOONERS. IN THE GULF OF ST. LAWRENCE. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) [United Press Association.] (Received 10.55 a.m.) Ottawa, June 8. Forty schooners were wrecked and twenty fishermen drowned during a storm on the northern coast of New Brunswick. * Eight bodies were recovered. The Miscou and Sliippegan Islands are littered with the wreckage. Other fishing vessels are ashore, but the crews were rescued.
