A.R.C. MEETING. XPis Pee** Association.] Auckland, June 8. The A.R.C. winter meeting was continued at Ellerslie in fine weather. Results:— Hunt Club Cup.—Ngatoa 1, Curearu 2, Zak 3. Scratched: Galvata, Kaffir and Coleraine. Zak led to the last fence, where Ngatoa came through and won by four lengths. Time, Gmin 46sec. Tamaki Steeplechase.—Rapid 1, The Chief 2, Vestal 3. Scratched: Hauera, Waterworks, Goldborne. A fine finish. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time smin 17sec. York Welter.—Bluestone 1, Tangiwai 2, Tact 3. All started. Tact and Bluestone led to the straight. Then Tangiwai joined them and Bluestone drew out and won by three-quarters of a length. Time, Imin 46 3-ssec. Winter Steeplechase.—Captain Jack 1, Huffy 2, Waterworks 3.’ All started. Ruffy and Waterworks made the running for the first two miles, but going up the hill the last time Captain Jack ran into the lead and won easily. Time, Gmin 26sec.
