BERNARD'S PICTURES. Afte*- the late “Miracle” season tne management will present the latest released dramagraphs, starting tonight with the Yitagraph drama, “Victory or Death.” The story runs as follows;—Count da Mora, the name by which Bernard, a spy of a foreign power 1 passes, receives information that important Government plans and the model of a new bomb shell will be delivered to General Alberti. Da Mora makes it his business to meet the General and his daughter, Blanche. He .plots to steal the plans. He presents to Blanche a drugged bouquet, which when she inhales its perfumes, stupifies her, then he enters the house and obtains possession of the box which contains the shells and the plans. The spy then hastily boards the Orione on the point of sailing. After Blanche has recovered she traces a note Da Mora has left stating ho has left by the Oriene. She finds the vessel has sailed but she pursues by aeroplane. Next is seen the aeroplane in the air apd Blanche, dropping from it into the sea, when she is picked up by theOribne. Da Mora recognises her and disguises himself. Blanche notices him doing this, and quickly points a revolver at him, compelling him to hand over the casket, but at that moment a fire breaks out aboard the ship. Blanche, terrified, drops the revolver, and Da Mora at once binds and gags her, and locks her in his cabin, then he leaps into the sea, taking the casket with him. Blanche manages to free herself and jumps in after him. She is picked up by an English yacht. One of the incidents is a i thrilling race, which ends by Blanche and her rescuer reaching an aeroplane, where they board a monoplane and succeed in escaping. The thrilling sf;ory ends with a charming scene, in which her rescuer gains the hand of Blanche.
