HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. [P*b Peebs Amiogiation.l Wellington, June 8. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated London, June 6th, states inter alia:—, There is no alteration in the butter market since last week. Danish 114 s to 116 s, New Zealand (market quiet but stead}’) 108 s to 110 s, Australian 100 s to 104 s, Siberian (market, quiet and steady) 98s to 102 s, Irish creamery (slow) 103 s to 104 s. Cheese.—The market is firmer. Old Canadian ('firm market) 68s to 70s, new (in good demand) 61s to 625, New Zealand (good demand), white 62s to 635, colored 61s to 655. It is estimated ' that the Canadian cheese stocks on June 2nd at London, Bristol, and Liverpool; were 33,000 boxes, against 67,000 at the same time last year. New Zealand and Australian stocks at London and Bristol were 37,000 crates, as against 34,000 last year. Wool.—The market is quiet but firm.
