The Egmont Agricultural and Pastoral Association desire to point out that the Gymkhana and Military tournament inaugurated last year is now to be an annual fijtfcufii, and will be held this year op Hawera Show Grounds on June 25th (Winter Show week). The programme has been wholly reorganised, with, th® primary object of presenting the most .attractive display from the public point of view. ‘ The programme wpl include handicap trots, hunters’ - competitions, and novelty events, etc, quickstep band competition also figures on the 'programme, and this alon.e, should be a great attraction. Another new feature will he a,' dog trial, ,which will be held on the morning of the Gymkhana, and is open only to dogs that have previously ..been placed first, second or third in a trial. The pony trotting and jumping events for amateurs (riders to he under 15 years of age), will provide for youthful horsemen, and large entries in this section are anticipated. The most Attractive and interesting military events' have been retained, and hr the Lloyd Lindsay* fan ever popular 'event), 1 ' f the Alarm Race 1 , Harem Race, Physical and Rifle Exercise Competitions, etik,"the Territorial representatives will he well provided for.
