At the annual convention of the Taranaki branch of the No-License League held in the Regan Street Hall yesterday, the following resolution was submitted and carried unanimously : "That this Xo-Lieense Convention, composed of representatives of the Taranaki, Egmont, Stratford, Patea and Tanmarunui electorates, while firmly of the opinion that the question of liquor licenses should be settled by a simple majority of votes cast on any issue submitted, recognises that the Bill introduced by the Prime .Minister at the close of last session proposes the granting of an instalment of" that just demand, and therefore urges members of Parliament to facilitate the passage of tiie measure, and all electors to press for this partial reform."
