HOME RULE FOR IRELAND.
AN IRISH CONVENTION.

Lord Dunraven, in a letter to the Times, says the only way out of the Home' Rule impasse is that the Government should drop the Bill and ca an Irish convention representing all parties when the Commons are m recess to draft a new Bill. Ulster will then have no logical excuse to refuse to contribute her ideas on Irish sellgovernment.
(Received 10.40 a.m.) London, May 28. Mr Stephen Gwynn, M.P. for Gal; wav City, states that the Irish Party has decided to permit members to strongly support the volunteer movement, *Mr Gwynn adds: "Home Rule may be taken off the State books unless the Nationalists are .prepared to assert their determination by the same moans as the Ulstermen."
THE UNIONISTS' DILEMMA.
Lord Selborne says that if the Unionists wore confronted with the dilemma, "Will you have Home Rule for a moment with civil war or without "civil war?" their clear duty would be to say without war.
