WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.

The monthly meeting of the Council was field on Tuesday, when there were present:—Crs. A. Meredith (chairman), W. A. McCutehan, W. Bacon, E. B. Eoberton, N. E. Clolaad, A. Coyne, and ,1. McCluggage.

The Engineer was authorised to call for tenders for Kohi Hoad formation, the chairman and Cr. Coyne to deal with them.

Mr C. McCuiun waited on the Council, asking for access to Ids section. —lt was decided that accrued thirds and future thirds bo scheduled tor the building of a bridge, provided the Government grants the balance of the amount required up to a total of £l-10. Cr. Bacon had his dissent recorded. —Mr McGuinn was granted tlie lease of a road reserve on Whangamomona Road, opposite his section.

A transfer of lease of river reserve on Whangamomona Hoad from E. i\lcClnggage to the Police Department was granted. The Engine.er was authorised to make a deviation around a big slip on upper Maugaehu Road. Racon gave notice to move at next meeting, that the question of the chairman’s travelling expenses he considered; also to rescind the resolution regarding the expenditure of Mr Geever’s thirds. It was decided that the balance of the AVhangamomona Road loan he expended in metalling Whangamomona Road past Mr E. McCluggage’s old boundary, the Engineer to expend the money as early as advisable. Accounts amounting to £919 11s were passed for oaymewt.
