Ou Friday, loth hist., at my Kaponga yards, I liad a full yarding, all available pens and races Iteing fully taxed. The entry was mosty comprised of store and forward cows and weaners, for all of which 1 had a ready sale. Nice well grown colored wearier heifers, and good steers were in best demand. Prices obtained were as follows ; —Weaner steers £2 3s, £2 Is, £1 17s, £ I 11s, small £1 2s (Jtl to £1 os, colored weaner heifers (nice lines) £2, £1 15s (Id, £1 Jos, £1 14s, colored heifers (bit smaller) £1 9s to £1 11s 6d, fair lines of grades £1 4s to £1 Os Gd, small 17s, mixed weaners 19s to £1 8s Gd, n eedy 10,s, to 15s, aged cows £1 7s Gd to £1 18s, small store cows £2 6s to £2 14s, store cows empty £3 5s to £3 16s, boners £2 12s to £3 17s, forward and light fat cows £6, £3 19s, £5 IGs, £5 13s Gd, £5 os, £5 3s, £5, £4 17s. £4 los, bulls £5 ss, rough line, of empty 15 month heifers £2 Is, f.m. empty owes 9s Cd and 10s. At Urenui yards on Monday, 18th hist., owing to the very rough weather, 1 had only a fair yarding of cattle, but all the advertised sheep came forward. The latter were all sold at the hammer under keen competition. Prices for cattle were good. The dairy cows sold on account of ATr Id. O’Hnlloran realised from £5 15s to £8 7s Gd, and a few backward cows at from £4 5s to £4 15s. Other prices were Weaner steers £1 15s to £2 3s, empty 15 to 18 month heifers £2 17s, 2 and 2J year steers £5. £•! los, £4 10s, store cows £3 Is to £3 12s. boners £2 11s to £4 Is, forward or small fat cows £5 6s to £5 16s, weaner heifers £1 7s, bulls £5 5s and £5 Ids, springing heifers £6 5s to. £6 15s. dairy cows £3 to £5 10s, cows calved £6 to £9 2s 6d. hoggets (small) 10s 7d. good 13s Id, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 17s lid, fat and forward eves 16n 2d. fat lambs 15s, very fair line of sound mouthed ewes in lamb 16a, f.m. ewes in lamb (culls) 7s to 9s 9d At Rahotu yards on Tuesday, 19th, owing to the very boisterous weather, 1 had a small entry, all of which were sohl as follows;—Weaner steers £1 15s, £1 10s, £1 8s Gd, weaner heifers £1 2s, weedy mixed weaners 15s Gd. hulls £5 15s, rough 15 months steers £3 5s Gd, dairy cows £B, forward cows £5 6s to £5 Bs, store cows £3s to £4 Is, aged cows £1 6s. On Wednesday, 20th, I conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr Chas. Smith ou the Ngariki Road, Rahotu (the first in this district this season), and had a good attendance. NEWTON KING’S STRATFORD REPORT.
For my Haymarkot sale on Saturday last, I had a fair .yarding of pigs. There was a large attendance, and prices ruling were, if anything, firmer than mv last sale. All lines* were
cleared at the hammer. T quote slips and woancrs from 6s, 7s 6d to 11s, small stores 13s to 15s,- medium stores 17s, £1 Is to £1 4s, good stores £1 11s to £1 16s, pullets 2s 9d to 3s 7d. Quantity of posts, timber and sundries in favor of buyers.
