Lord Bryce has accepted the presidency of the Liberal Colonial Club, states a London cablegram.
; Sir Robert Stout has been appointed Deputy-Governor during the absence of Lord Liverpool at the Cook Islands.
Sir Joshua Williams, K.C., of New Zealand, has taken his seat on the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
, General Hamilton will arrive to-day at Picton (states the Press Association), coming on to Blenheim in the afternoon. General Hamilton will receive a civic welcome and will review the senior cadets, and will also be welcomed by the Scottish Society.
