Ti! submitting bis ensilage award* at the 1913 show, Mr W. Dibble, judge, appended the following remarks:— "The ensilage exhibits judged by me to-day are a very great improvement on previous years. The show authorities are doing good work in encouraging ensilage making, as it has become one of the leading features in providing for stock at all seasons of tho year." This sums up the whole situation, and it is fully expected that the ensilage exhibited at the coming show will call for some further complimentary remarks at the hands of Mr Dibble. The size of the exhibit will be a full butter-box, and the amount of the first prize £5. All information obtainable from the secretary, Mr A. M. Conroy, Box 174, Hawera. Probably the section that will be most keenly contested this year will be that of the poultry, as breeders from .all over the North Island have written for schecTules and signified their intention of sending birds along. Besides the excellent prizes that are offered, there will be Mr 8. Smith's challenge cup for the best bird in the show. Entries for all sections close with the secretary, P.O.
