BERNARD’S PICTURES. The new programme of pictures presented last night at Bernard’s Theatre was indeed a fine series. The racy drama, entitled “The Silver Blaze” proved to be a most sensational picture production, which introduces Sir Conan Doyle's famous story of “Sherlock Holmes,” the great detective. The supporting pictures are all very good. This programme will be screened to-night for the last time. On Monday tho celebrated A.B. Co. will present their celebrated destinydrama, “By Man’s Law,” the story of which runs as follows: “Are the days of despotism over, when one hypocritical money god can so sway the wheels of destiny that thousands of holpless men, women and children may bo thrown defenceless upon tho world?” So the editorial questioned. It served only as an impetus for the magnate to turn public opinion by philanthropy, while lie continued to satisfy his own desires at tho expense of other lives. The standard of music presented by Van Heck’s orchestra is the highest.
