Mr H. L. Michel has been selected to contest the Grey seat as the Government candidate. Professor Benjamin Moore replaces Professor Martin on the physiology section of the British Association, states a London cablegram. Mr John Lockhart, seed expert for the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, arrived by express last evening, and is to-day engaged in his usual inspection of the local branch stocks. Mr Lockhart returns to Wellington by Saturday’s express.
