A first-offending drunkard, who was arrested last night by Constable McGowan, was fined 5s at the Court this morning. Only one judgment by default was given at the Court this morning— Court and Cottier r. Thomas Doniford, claim £4 2a Bd. costs 11s. A meeting of ratepayers to consider loan proposals will be held at the Town Ha 1! on Monday evening next, at 8 o’clock. His Worship the Mayor invites ai l to be present.
