A deputation of women from the Political Labor League Conference urged on Mr Holman their clains +o participate in activities of political and municipal life, also as -lommte for the Upper House. The Premier promised that Ministerial consideration would be given to the Upper House suggestion. Wi'.l regard to women sitting in the Assembly and on municipal councils, the Government intended to bring the Constitution into line with th isa of the more advanced States. The rum of democracy was to extend the range of choice, and allow the electors to say whether they would bo represented by a man or a woman.
