At the Health Conference, the Hon Charles Mackellar's paper on "Infancy and Health," analysed tFie New South Wales' conditions and preventive measures to preserve child life. It also referred to the Federal maternity henfit, which ultimatly would he valuable in reducing mortality'. Mr Mackeilar eommends South Australia's system of supervision over illegitimates. Bishop Frodsham. in introducing the paper, paid a tribute to Mr Mackellar's work, and said that much beneficial legislation was the outcome of his efforts.
