At the Royal Geographical dinner, Dr. Douglas Freshfield, the president, described Dr. Mawson’s journej' from the scientific standpoint, as the most fruitful of all Antarctic expeditions. Dr. Mawson responded to the toast of “Our/ Guests,” and said finance was the real trouble of these expeditions. He hoped to give a precise account of the journey on June 9, the accounts hitherto published in London having been meagre.
