Th© annual report of the New South Wales Alliance says:-New South Wales is the most drunken State in the Commonwealth. Dunug 1913. the convictions for drunkenness totalled 23,274. In other convictions in w hich drunkenness formed a part of the charge, there were 4185 women, ir.fikincr a total of 32,458. In 1912 there wore 32,977', but in 1913 2000 plotlges were taken, when a conviction uas not recorded.
