Black to a cheque for £SO, and who, when arrested at Warepa, swallowed a bottle of poison (fjfom the effects of which he was only saved fyy the prompt measures of Constable Harvey) appeared in the Police Court this morning. Accused pleadqd-guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
