Mr Esson, an engineer, of Birmingham, and at present residing in Capetown, has designed a train equipped with propellors and an aeroplane device driven by electricity, so that when the train attains sufficient velocity it will lift itself from the buffer springs and fly. Esson believes it will reach a speed of 300 miles an hour.
