Fireman Killed.

LOCOMOTIVES COLLIDE. DRIVER ESCAPED INJURY. [Pra Pbess Association.] Dunedin, May 16. Two engines collided in the railway yards last night about eleven o'clock. One, travelling backwards, was going'to the shed, and the other, moving ahead, was proceeding to the platform. The tender of the first engine hit the corner of the second engine which was a small one, crushing the tender in against the firebox and boiler, and terribly mutilating Fireman David Donovan, who must have beeu killed instantly. The driver escaped injury. It is not clear how the accident happened. Both engines carried lights. Donovan was married, with one young child.
