BERNARD’S PICTURES. Last night’s change of pictures at Bernard’s Tlieatre included the star drama, “King of the Air,” which proved to be a high-class production. The aeroplane race for the “Paris (fold Cup,” from Paris and back, twice circling the “Eiffel Tower,” introduced some wonderful scenery oi the various country and cities passed iver during this great flight. John Bunny and Flora Finch of Yitagraph fame are at home in the screamingly funny comedy “Tobin’s Sweetheart,” .which shows Bunny as a first-rate cannibal King. To-morrow evening, the Kalem Coy will produce a dram.) entitled “The Plot of Indian’s Hillmen,” taken and played on the originil historical spot of India during their recent tour of the East. The plot runs as follows: Count Savanoff, a Russian spy, and allied to a tribe >f Indian hillmen, becomes the guest of General Melbourne, commandant of a British Army post. The spy learns that Lieutenant Maxam has invented a new explosive and plan s to steal the formula. They discover the hiding place of the paper, and Maxam is takqn to the hills. Zurah, his servant, follows, and later brings word of the Lieutenant’s predicament to the General. Savanoff and the hillmen plot to entice the British troops to death. Savanoff prepares a large quantity of the explosive, and places it along the route planned to lure the troops. Forgetting the trap prepared, the tribesmen cross the spot where the explosive is planted. A terrible upheaval occurs, wiping out the hillmen. A boulder strikes Savanolf and kills him. Faithful Zurah loads the troops to Maxam’s prison, and he is released. The music played by Van Heck’s orchestra is a rare treat.
