BIPLANE COLLISION IN MID AIR. ! By Eleovuuo Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Ahsooiation.] London, May 12. Two Sopwith biplanes, while flying at Aldershot on a perfect evening, collided over the golf links in view of hundreds, and plunged headlong to the ground. The machines were smashed to atoms. Captain Anderson and Private Carter, a mechanic, were killed. Lieut. Wilson, pilot, in the other aeroplane, had a wonderful escape, though ho was seriously hurt. FLIGHTS TO ANTARCTICA. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Sydney, May 14. Speaking at the Aerial League, Professor David said that when aeroplanes become safer and cheaper, it will be possible to readily visit and enjoy unparalleled sights in the Antarctic regions.
