A MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE COMMENT ON JURY’S FINDING. [lr Electric Telegraph—Ooptb.iqht] [United Press Association.. 1 Perth, May ; 12. Norman has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for thfc manslaughter of James Murtha^, The judge commented on the jury’s finding of manslaughter instead of murder. A message on March 19th reported a fatal shooting affair at Wonganhills, and that the police had arrested j David Norman on a charge or murdering Juine-' Martha. Deceased was a. railway ganger, and his wife kept a boarding-house for na,wies. Norman, a young man, was Anployed by her. It appears that Norman and Murtha had a quarrel on the night of the 17th.
