THE DOMINION’S FINANCE. SUBSTANTIAL INCREASES. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Asß6oiatto>7,> Wellington, May 12. Speaking of the Dominion’s finances yesterday, the Hon. J. Allen stated that every item of revenue except territorial showed an increase. The surplus for the year just ended amounted to £427,000, but if the territorial revenue was added, as in the case of previous surpluses, it would have been over £500,000. The total increase of revenue for 1913-14 as compared with th« previous vein' was £495,390. The land arid income tax increased by £130,000, the railways by £60,000, miscellaneous by £63,000, and national endowment revenue hy £13,000.
