AN ENCOURAGING REPORT. j£P]£B pBEBS ASSOCIATION.] "New Plymouth, May 11. The Taranaki Herald is informed that several Aucklanders interested in iron and steel metallurgy have discovered a : process for producing from Taranaki ironsand excellent iron at a cost not exceeding that of the best iron produced in England. An experimental plant will be erected at "Sew Plymouth, and it is anticipated that considerable capital ijijU be employed subsequently in' erecting the latest type of blast furnace to deal with a big output.
