STATE BAKERY TO THE RESCUE.
[By Electric Telegraph- Copyright [United Prebi Abbooiatjon.] (Received 9.5 a.m.) Sydney, May 7. The Government's attempts at mediation in the takers' dispute failed. The. union claims to have thirty-six shops prepared to bake on Sunday. A compulsory conference under the Industrial Act has been ' called. In the event of a strike the State bakery will increase the output.
