The trial has opened at Krasnoyosk, Siberia, of Haletzky, who denies murdering twelve girls found buried in a forest in the summer of 1913,and who had apparently been killed by blows on the head. Haletzky offered a servant girl a post at a rich man’s country house, and attacked her in the forest. The girl temporarily blinded him and escaped and informed the police.
