OH UP A ROAD (CENTRAL RIDING) LOAN OF £2500. ■VTOTICE is hereby given that a aM Poll will be taken on TUESDAY, the 12th day of May, 1914, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m,, to decide whether the following proposals shall, or shall not, be undertaken, viz:— (a) To raise a loan under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1910,’ ’and “The New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act” and Amendments, for the purpose of metalling the Ohura Road in the Central Riding from its junction, with the Manga re Road to the Kohuratahi Railway Station,'or for so far as the loan-money will allow. (b) To borrow for such purpose the sum of Two thousand, five hundred pounds (£2500) under the provisions of the above Acts. (c) To pledge as security for the repayment of such loan and for the payment of interest thereon, a Special Annually recurring rate of One penny and three-farthings (H l d) in the £ upon the Unimproved Value of all the ratable property in the “Ohura road (Central Riding) Special Loan of £2500 Special Rating District” as defined by the Special Rateroll of the said District. The said Special Rato to be for a term of Thirty-six and a half years or until the loan is fully paid off; the annual rate of interest (exclusive of Sinking Fund) being four and a-half per centum (4i per cent.). (d) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising same, but not the interest and sinking fund for 1 the first year. IVTOTICE is hereby' given that a Poll will be taken on TUESDAY, the 12th day of May, 1914, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., to decide whether the following proposals shall; or shall not, be undertaken, viz:— (a) To reconstruct from time to time all, or any of, the bridges situate in the Central Riding of the County of /Whangamomona which are under the control of • and vested in the Council as, and when, the same require renewal, through “ accident or flood, fire, or other mischance, or on account of disrepair. (b) To borrow for the purpose" of such renewals, such 5 amounts as may from time to time be required. The moneys to be-• iborrowed under tbe provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans!Act” and “The New 'Zealand State-guaranteed • Advances Act” and their respective* Amendments. (c) To pledge as security for the repayments of such loans and for the payment of interest thereon a Special Annually recurring rate over all the rateable ;property •in the Central Riding of the said County, to be known as a “bridge rate.” Such rate not to exceed one farthing (Jd) in the £ on the Capital Value, of all the rateable property in the above Riding.
