IVTOTfCE is hereby given that a i-T Poll will be taken on TUESDAY, the 12th day of May, 1914. between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., to decide whether the following proposals shall, or shall not, be undertaken, viz: — ■a) To raise a loan under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1013,’ ’and “The New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act” and Amendments, for the purpose of metalling the Ohnra Road in the Central Riding from its junction, with the Mangare Road to the Kohuratahi Railway Station, or for so far as the loan-money will allow. (b) To borrow for such purpose the sum of Two thousand, live hundred pounds (£2500) under the provisions of the above Acts. (c) To pledge as security for the repayment of such loan and for the payment of interest thereon, a Spec-1 ial Annually recurring rate of One penny and three-farthings in the £ upon the Unimproved Value of all the ratable property iu the “Ohura road (Central Riding) Special Loan of £2500 Special Rating District” as defined by the Special Rateroll of the said District. The said Special Rate to be for a term of Thirty-six and a half years or until the loan is fully paid off; the annual rate of interest (exclusive of Sinking Fund) being four and a-half per centum (41- per cent.). (d) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising same, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year. (b) To borrow for the purpose of such renewals, such amounts ns may from time to time he required. Toe moneys to be borrowed under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act” and “The New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act” and their respective Amendments.
