Holland’s Sentence.

LAW TAKES ITS COURSE.

REPLY TO REPRESENTATIONS.

[Pee Press Association.] Dunedin, April 28. The Hon. J. T. Paul has received the following telegram from the Minister of Justice; The Hon. James Allen has communicated to me representations made to him by a deputation introduced by you urging a remission of the sentence imposed upon Holland. The matter received very careful consideration, and I regret that 1 can see no sufficient grounds to justify me in recommending the Governor to grant any remission of the sentence imposed upon Holland.
