On Friday, 17th inst., at my Knponga; yards, I had a heavy entry of cattle, mostly cows and weaners. There; (was a good attendance of buyers with excellent competition for all lines 'offered, especially weaner steeis and good conditioned cows. Weaner with an improved inquiry. On Tuesday, at Itahotu, for my fortnigthly sale, the weather was again very rough and I had only hV small yarding. Matthews, Gamlin and Co.’s Report. Matthews,. Gamlin and Co. report; On Wednesday last we held our usual weekly sale in our Inglewood yards, and had a fair yarding of stock, most of which was disposed of at. the hammer. Wo quote:—Springing rows £G, fat and forward do £3 10s to £5 9s 6d, old and light stores 30s to £3 7s Gd. 18-month steers £2 15s to £3 12s Gd, 18-month heifers £2 Is to £2 15s, bulls £3 14s to £5 Is, weaner heifers I.os to 29s Gd, weaner steers 25s to £2 2s Gd.

Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limitod, have received the following cablegram Coin their London house under date 22nd April, 191-1: Tallow .-t-iVVip (pinto present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow: Fine mutton 35s (id per cwt., good hoof 33s 9d per cwt., mixed 31s Gd per cwt. The market is firm. Wheat.—Wo have sold an Australian cargo at 35s Gd c.i.f. The market is quiet hut steady and the outlook is uncertain.
