Tobin, Radnor; Miss Jean Auld, assistant at Cardiff; ami Miss E. King, assistant at Stratford. The question of filling the vacancy of agricultural instructor was' referred (o the chairman, the inspectors and the director of technical education, with power to make a temporary appointment if thought desirable. STRATFORD SCHOOL HOUSE. Mr Masters brought up the question of the roof at the Stratford school residence, which was so bad that the water was pouring through. Ho moved that a wire he sent to tile Department to the effect that unless the Department can give the Board an early assurance that tn« school residence at Stratford will ho renewed if will be necessary to spend-a-large amount on repairs, as the building is in such a condition that it is not fit for the schoolmaster to reside in. The motion was seconded by Mr Bradbury and carried. A SCHOLARSHIP QUESTION. The Department wrote stating that it could not approve of the tenure of Leslie Allen’s scholarship at the Technical College, as the course of instruction there could not be regarded ns a general course of secondary education.—A copy of the letter u to be sent to Mr Alien (Toko). /‘MjVERSFFIFS REPORT. The overseer reported that the painting at Pumngi had been attended to. The asphalting and fencing at Matau'Hacl been carried on satisfactorily. There was an obnoxious weed (wireberry) overrunning the horse paddock, and it required attention.
