My first act in this road connection 1 was to cut tracks on hillside 3ft wide 1 and clear away logs and make as • smooth as possible for the general public using. Before many weeks they will have to remove five sets of sliprails en route. 1 should have been pleased to come to Ohura ami present this question in person. Unfortunately, since coining here 1 have had a long attack of rheumatics, and not ! having a motor nor a biplnc to skim ■ j the Matigaroa I am doing my best. •| Hoping, Mr Chairman and gentlemen. 1 j yon will give tin's road and bridge ' I your practical and earnest considcri; at ion. 1 have a lug lot of heifers i coming in, and Maticre in the near ’ future will be the railhead.” ■ Thu letter was received.
