THE CAMP AT TAKAPAU. Arrangements are now well in hand for,the transport of the local Territorials to Takapau training camp. Saturday will be a busy day for the local staffs with 00 men of D Squad-1 m n, 2nd "Mounted Rifles, and 100 of, H. Coy., XI Regt. (Taranaki Rifles) .couesn'trnting in Stratford. Owing A;v:tho advisability of getting the' troops into camp in daylight in order that they can quickly settle down in their nw surroundings, the H. Comp>>ny will parade for final inspection ii/ilie"post, office at 12 o'clock midnight on Saturday, and entrain in time for departure by special troop train at 12.55. which is due at Takapau at 12.30 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements arc being made to obtain suitable accommodation in town for the men while waiting for the train, so that in the event of wet weather, shelter will be available. The advance party of 50 men departed from various company headquarters this morning to put the camp in order for the main body, arriving on Sunday.
