HOCKEY. THE STRATFORD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Stratford Hockey Club was held last night. Mr H. D. Hill was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The following officers were elected : Patron, Mr J. B. Hine, M.P.; president, Mr P. Thomson j vice-presidents, Madame Bernard, Messrs E. Jackson, C. Jackson, G. N. Curtis, Fred Whittle, and W. P. Kirkwood; management committee: H. T>. Hill, M. Sergeant, L. Curtis, Thomson, F. Clemow and W. Lawrence.; selection committee, Messrs Hill and Curtis; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Wheeler. It was decided to purchase a set of jerseys for the club and also to enter a aeven-a-side team for tho tournament to be held at Kaponga on Thursday next. A very successful meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair and to Messrs C. and E. Jackson for their generosity in allowing the club the use of their rooms.
