The conference of the New Zealand Poultry Association was continued today in Wellington. Several remits were adopted on the motion of the Canterbury delegates. The Government is to ho urged to appoint two additional instructors for farmers and poultryraen to arrest the enormous waste in marketing eggs and poultry, and to provide for an accurate return of the value of thp poultry products /in tjie ■ Dominion. A remit from Auckland proposing that the Government establish an ejg-laying competition to be conducted at Ruakura State Farm produced a lively discussion, and evoked strongly-expressed opposition from the Christchurch delegates, and the motion was lost. It was also resolved (states the Press Association message) to urge the Government to move in the direction of obtaining suitable provision for the carriage of eggs to Vancouver.
