Time, 2min 36 2-osec. . The W.A. J.C. St. Leger resulted : Carstep 1, Pilbarra 2, Lucky Beggar 3. Also started: Coca tea. Won by three lengths. Time. 3min lOsec. THE WINNER OF THE CUP. (Received 10.25 a.m.) Sydney, April 14. The time for the Cup was a record by half a second. v Lily veil is Westralian-owned. The win was not altogether popular and the winner received a mixed reception on returning to scale. The attendance was estimated at 60,000. Brilliant weather prevailed over the holidays throughout Australia. ' FEILDINC RACES. Feilding, April 14. The second day's races are being held to-day in dull but fine weather. Denbigh Stakes, of 200sovs., six furlongs.—Tneuru 1, Lady Louisa 2, Altcar 3. Scratched: Play-off and Bradamante. Won easily by a neck.
