THE A.R.C. MEETING. [Per Pbjesh Association.] Aucland, April 11. The A.R.C. Easter meeting commenced in line weather and a record attendance. Results:— Tradesmen’s Handicap, of 300sovs., one mile and a-quarter.—Soultikott' 1, Holdfast 2, Bonny Helen 3. Scratched: Lareinaj Mistie. -Miss Livonia made the running to half a mile from home, where Holdfast took charge and led into the straight. At the distance Soultikoff put in a claim, and after a great race won by half a length. Time, 2min 9 3-osec. Brighton Hurdles, of 300sovs., two miles.—Merrimax 1, First Wairiki 2, Cloudy Dawn 3. Scratched: Oban and Hapera. First Wairiki led to the last fence, where Merrimax ran past and won as he liked by six lengths. Bercola fell. Time, 3min oOsec. Champagne Stakes, of lOOsovs., six furlongs.—Teteatete 1, Mullingar 2, Castalia 3. Scratched: Daytime. The winner made the running. At the distance she was headed by Mullingar, but came again and wan by a length. Time, Imin 16 2-osec. WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB. Featherston, April 11. The following are the results: — Trial Hack Handicap, of lOOsovs., six furlongs.—Ruination 1, Ranfurly 2, Merry Gain 3. All started. ’Won by a length. Time, Imin IG^sec. Te Waica Hack Welter, of lOOsovs., seven furlongs.—Submersion 1, Top Note 2, Bonus 3. All started. Won by three lengths. Time, Imin 31 1-5 sec. RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Christchurch, April 11. Fog on the Riccarton tracks spoilt the final gallops for the large number who attended, and made timing difficult. All the horses in the principal events were out doing fast work, but no times were taken. Later Warstep defeated Chrystalis over' six furlongs in Imin. 17sec. Bronze and Bertrada, ran six furlongs in Imin. 19 4-osec. Sveaborg beat Gnome over seven furlongs' in Imin, 33 1-osec. Goldseeker ran a mile on the course proper in Imin 52sec. Chudic did a mile on the sand in Imin. 47 4-osec.
