a BACTERIOLOGIST’S DISCOVERY [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! [United Press Association.] (Received 10.40 a.m.) Paris, April 7. Madam Henri Lady, bacteriologist, by the use of ultra-violet rays transformed anthrax bacillus into spherical coccus, developing a disease entirely different to anthrax. The discovery suggests that evolution is applicable to bacteria, and lias aroused lively interest in the Academy of Science.
