SUPREME COURT.
JURY COMPLIMENTS A JUDGE. [P*r Pres* Association.] Auckland, April 5. After a trial lasting five days, a young married man, named Hugh Scally, was acquitted at the Supreme Court on a charge of having attempted to commit rape. The accused was discharged. The jury passed a resolution thanking Judge Hosking for his courteous treatment of tbe jury, and expressed their appreciation of tbe manner in which he had summarised the evidence.
