SPORTS AT TOKO.
FINE WEATHERS GOOD CROWD.
There were" about seven hundred people on the Toko Domain yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the Toko Settlers' Picnic and Sports Association's'' annual sports. The weather was excellent and all present spent a pleasant time. There was a good contingent of Stratford competitors, who duly annexed a fair proportion of the prizes. Mr W. Elder had charge of the refreshment tent, and purveyed an excellent lunch. During the day the Eltham Band supplied a good programme of music. At intervals during the day children's races were got off,, the, young people being well catered for. In the evening a dance was held in the Coronation Hall to finish up the day's amusement. The special" train from Stratford was not well patronised. The judges were as "follows:—Running and cycling, Messrs E. Walter, F. W. Yickerman, Evan Jones and J. Lucena; wrestling. Messrs M. Urquhart and A. Ferguson. I All the members of the committee worked hard and the secretary (Mr G. E. Bocock) was übiquitous in attending to all requests.
